674. Rosewater Watermelon and Mint

As a farewell bid to Summer fruit for the year, this watermelon recipe follows after Iraqi watermelon and cheese and watermelon feta salad, and is just as simple and just as delicious.

Where the Iraqi watermelon cheese is generally for breakfast, watermelon feta salad for a light lunch, this rosewater-soaked watermelon is ideal for a light and healthy dessert.
It reminds me of balmy Summer days in Syria, pre-fitna and corruption. We would lunch in the open, and the only dessert on the menu was an array of seasonal fruits. Allah's natural dessert, they called it.

Ingredients:

watermelon
rosewater
fresh mint

Method:

Slice the chilled watermelon into wedges.
Drizzle with rosewater.
Sprinkle with thinly sliced fresh mint leaves.
Serve.
